Excavations and rock art
We are conducting excavation seasons in a relevant number of Middle and Upper Palaeolithic sites all along the Iberian hinterland. These sites include both known and new locations found in the open-air and karstic environments. .

Field Surveys
The discovery of new sites will contribute to fill the gap of geoarchaeological and palaeoecological information during MIS 2 and MIS 3 in inland Iberia. Field surveys are focused on fluvial terraces, rock shelters and caves in Guadalajara and Madrid, but also at other provinces of the Iberian interior.

Sampling & labwork
Given the large number of research teams collaborating with MULTIPALEOIBERIA, we are conducting a large number of labworks, mostly aimed at building sound chronological and palaeoecologica frameworks, thus accomplishing objectives of Work packages 3 and 4.
